Presentation Title: Sustainability is dead
Synopsis: ‘Sustainability’ has failed to reverse the decline of the natural world – the life support system upon which humanity depends. More often, it is a meaningless marketing tool which serves as a fig leaf for business as usual while the word itself has lost all meaning. We need a fresh recognition of the environmental problems we face in Ireland, with new vocabulary and new systems to address them.
